Right now, the West Virginia Legislature is considering Senate Bill 564, which would permanently ban Independent voters from voting in primary elections. This anti-freedom bill runs counter to our founding principles and values.

Senate Bill 564 strips West Virginia Independent voters of their decades-long freedom to have a voice in our primary elections. These proud Independent voters are the ones who created the big Republican majorities in Charleston. They share our conservative values. Their numbers are growing, and most importantly, they helped elect President Trump.

Now is not the time to shut the door on pro-Trump Independent voters. Now is the time to stop Senate Bill 564 in its tracks.
